The Wild Night is a new storytelling series featuring tales of eventful nights: drunken debauchery, teenage antics, odd encounters, night shift insanity, etc. The sorts of things that only seem to happen after dark. It happens at 7:30pm on the third Sunday of every month at Cary's Lounge, 2251 W. Devon Ave. in the West Ridge neighborhood of Chicago.
Join us Sunday, March 15 at Cary's Lounge, 2251 W. Devon Ave. in Chicago's West Ridge neighborhood, for stories from Christopher Biewer, Susan Rohde, Steve Silver and Prateek Srivastava, host Andrew Huff and more! There will be a couple of open mic slots for folks who want to share their own five-minute story.
Doors at 7pm, show starts around 7:30. Admission is FREE, 21 and over. Street meters are free on Sunday and there's also free parking in back off the alley. Or take the 155 or 49B bus.
We're always on the lookout for new storytellers. Stories should be roughly five to 10 minutes long, and should either begin, end or entirely take place at night. Cary's is a 21+ venue, so you can get as R-rated as is appropriate for the story — though maybe not X rated. We feature three to five featured storytellers at each show. It's fine if you want to read something rather than deliver off the cuff. To be considered, email host Andrew Huff with your background and dates you're interested in.
